Dr. Mark Prybyl

Dr. Prybyl was born and raised near Buffalo, NY - he is a life-long Buffalo Bills fan. After high school, he moved to Massachusetts and attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. In the beginning, he balanced his time between music (Singing & Performance) and Biology with an interest in dentistry. In his Junior year he focused on dentistry but kept music as a serious hobby. His hobby included singing in Lincoln Center, NYC plus 2 tours in Europe. He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Science in 1978 and entered dental school at Loyola University of Chicago later that year.
Dental school curriculum was intense, however, he made time for outside activities. Chicago was the perfect area providing many sports and artistic diversions. He liked the Cubs more than the White Sox, but was never able to warm up to 'da Bears'. Musically, he joined the William Ferris Chorale and participated with them in many concerts. A highlight was when Mark was invited to sing in a special concert for Pope John Paul II with Luciano Pavarotti.
It was during this time that he became more active in church. He came to believe that his musical gifts should be used for praising God and inviting others to do the same. It was at church that he met his future wife, Eileen Minnock, a Pittsburgher who was studying for her MS in Nursing & Midwifery. Eileen returned to Pittsburgh when she graduated changing their relationship to a long distance one. Shortly after graduating with honors in 1982, Dr. Prybyl moved to Pittsburgh with two goals - begin his dental career and continue his courtship of Eileen. They were married in 1983 and have been blessed with 3 wonderful daughters. (Prybyl Family)
Dr. Prybyl has been in the same location in Wexford since he started private practice. He has always had the drive to pursue excellence. This can be seen in his practice, in his personal relationships, and in his church - conveniently located across the street from his office. In 2003, Dr. Prybyl began making annual mission trips to Mexico. He believes it is important to share what he has with others. On these trips he is able to practice his dental skills with people who have little or no access to dentists. At the same time, he is able to share his strong faith in Jesus Christ.
